7 Days Of Daily Declarations
This book was initially written for my children as I saw them struggling with some of the same issues I suffered through growing up. My desire is for you to use this book as a daily guide to help you through your life. I hope you find this book helpful. Take some time to reflect on what you read and please take your own notes. There is a section at the end of each declaration for you to record your personal notes. You can use this as your personal journal as well as the pages at the end of the book. I encourage you to keep a journal to express your thoughts and to compare your positive growth. I pray you find peace, love, comfort, and most importantly yourself through this journey.Thinking of you! La’Tina Willis

I am beautiful because Psalms 139:14 says I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Growing up I always heard “God didn’t make any junk”. That still did not stop me from struggling with accepting how I looked. Sure, adults told me I was pretty. But I was picked on more than I was called pretty. I experienced rejection from my peers. So, I figured the ones who told me I was pretty or cute were just being nice. They really did not mean it. Therefore, I grew up struggling with low self-esteem and not feeling pretty. I literally felt like I was a little, ugly, black child. Even when I started taking interest in boys, I just thought they were playing games when they gave me a compliment.

I will obey my parents because Ephesians 6:1 says, Children obey your parents in the Lord for this is right. I do not want to block my blessings.
I know, I know, you feel like your parents or guardians do not understand you sometimes. You feel like they don’t know what they are talking about. Can I tell you they were your age once? This is something my children seemed to have a hard time understanding. So, I am going to try to explain it you how I tried to explain it to them. We were babies, then children before we became your parents. We had to go through the exact same things you are now going through. We experienced some of the same things you have and will experience.text. Click to select the Text Element.

My parents love me and will not harm or taunt me because Ephesians 6:4 says “Fathers do not provoke your children to become angry.”
So now we are to the scripture I mentioned in Declaration 2. I say again, regardless of what it looks like or feels like, YOUR PARENTS LOVE YOU. They have their own feelings they have to deal with. I want you to try something I did not think to try growing up. Pray for your parents, rather they are in your life or not. Yes, pray for them. Not a selfish prayer you think will get you to have your way. I want you to start paying attention to your parents or care givers. Start to notice what they go through every day. Ask them how their day was. Yes, I know you thought I was about to probably bash the parents and care givers, but no, quite the opposite. I have a different view now, because I am in the position my parents were in. Being a parent is not an easy job.

I will not be afraid of anything or anyone because Isaiah 41:3 says that God tells me not to be afraid. He will hold my hand and he will help me.
I understand my readers will not only be different ages, but also may or may not have gone through having bad things happen to them. I will cover as much as I can. I believe we all have at least one fear in our lives. Some of us are scared of things we see on TV shows or movies. Others are scared of getting into trouble because of our behavior or grades. Some are afraid of bad things happening to them. It does not matter what you are afraid of, you should not have to be. You do NOT have to be afraid. You are probably saying to me that it is easy for me to say.

I love God because
1 John 4:19 tells me that he loved me first.
If you feel like no one loves you, or if you ever feel that way about yourself, know that God loves you. I am not crazy, I do know that everyone does not love because everyone does not serve God. God is love, and he commands us to love. I know evil exist, so I know there is also hateful people in the world. But what I am telling you, even the hateful people, is God loves you.

All things are possible because Luke 1:37 tells me God can make what is impossible to me happen for me.
Let me explain to you what I am saying. The scripture says, “All things are possible through Jesus Christ who gives me strength”. So, this means what we cannot believe could happen, God can make happen. This is not for you to try to get all the cookies you want or all the toys you think you want. What this means is if you are not doing so good in school, God can help you bring your grades up. You think you cannot make good grades, but you can.

I am a diamond, I am precious to God. Proverbs 3:15 says, “I am more precious than rubies.”
This includes the young men too, yep you too. I know we have always heard, “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend”. Well, look at it this way, you can be a girl’s best friend! But seriously, a diamond is not male or female. It is a jewel with worth and shines bright. It is beautiful and just about everyone wants a diamond. Rather it is in the form of a ring, earrings, or bracelet. I see some men with a diamond earring in their ear.
